According to Greg Lindberg, time is the only gift one can use to beat a genetically superior person or even a person with more resources. According to Greg Lindberg, it is possible for one to turn things around. Assuming you opted to dedicate eight hours of work to a project per day, and you have minimal resources at your disposal, and another person dedicates only one hour to a similar project. Greg Lindberg will recommend that where sharper people spend time on a project, you would need to spend even more time on a similar project to catch up with them.
Greg Lindberg will tell you that some students tend to grasp concepts at a higher rate when compared to others. In a case where the student who spend thirty minutes to grasp a concept, give up and spends only equal amounts of time the five minutes student spends, he or she may never catch up. But in a case where the student who takes longer to grasp a concept accepts that he or she is not as gifted as his or her colleague and spends more time on his or her studies, he or she has high chances of catching up. According to Greg Lindberg, the two students would have to understand versus time curve. But time can make all the difference where the less intelligent opts to dedicate his or her time to studying more. The more, the less intelligent student would take more time to study, the more he or she increases his or her chances of beating the sharper student. One with better genes would turn things around if he or she spent more time on books.
A person with resources or even gifted in some way would turn things around at a higher rate in a case where he or she invested more of his or her time at work or at school. It is unfortunate that some of these people with more resources at the beginning only tend to compare themselves with people around them and hence do not achieve as much as they should if they spent more time working or reading. According to Greg Lindberg, they end up only working hard to stay on top. Where one has more resources as an investor for example, time and strategy would make him or her revolutionize the world. Greg Lindberg will tell you that some people tend to get to good schools which when combined with a good opportunity makes them some of the world innovators and business entrepreneurs. You would need to ensure that time makes all the difference especially over time. While one may have worked a few extra hours for extra pay or even read a few extra minutes, it would make all the difference over time.
